The great work of Ideal Health & Regenerative Medicine exists today because a son desired to cure his father's terminal illness. Dr. Van Camp's father, Dr. Robert Victor Van Camp, DVM, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2011. After traditional therapies yielded no benefits, the family pursued an alternative route, Stem Cell Therapy.
Dr. Van Camp found he could offer this as a compassionate therapy for debilitating chronic and terminal illnesses, or as a context for medical research. He wrote a research protocol, sought IRB approval, and began recruiting patients. It is believed that the first adult-harvested stem cell procedure in the state of Kansas was performed by Dr. Van Camp on his own father. Since then, Dr. Van Camp has been published for his work with Alzheimer's, has performed procedures on thousands of patients affected by various chronic conditions, including Osteoarthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, COPD, Diverticulitis, and muscle-wasting neurologic disorders. Dr. Van Camp has also successfully treated patients with joint injuries who prefer to avoid joint replacement surgeries. Kipp Van Camp, D.O. attended KCUMB Osteopathic Medical School graduating in 1990. He completed a one year internship in St. Louis and married his wife, Tracy. In 1992 they moved to KC for his Family Medicine residency. He graduated in 1994 and moved to Weston, MO where he was the "town doc". In 2000 he and his family moved to the Washington, DC area where he completed a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology fellowship at the Washington Hospital Center. After the one year fellowship in Washington, DC, Dr. Van Camp and his family moved to Topeka, KS where his second son, Weston was born.
